Unbelievable Driving!
Amazingly, there are some people in this world who think they can drive fast enough, or in this case well enough to outrun the police. Well this guy almost accomplished that as he drives a stolen vehicle well over 100mph. See for yourself!
The Fast, The Furious, Mitsubishi Evolution
-The Mitsubishi Evolution-
Most people know the Mitsubishi Evolution from the movie, "The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift", which was released in 2006. But what most people don't know, is that the Mitsubishi Evolution has been around since 1992, when the Evolution I (1) was first put into production by Mitsubishi. Nowadays, the evolution is known as a relatively inexpensive, top-quality, affordable, fast, import car.
-A Brief Evolution History-
The Mitsubishi Evolution was first produced in 1992 by Mitsubishi. The first model of the Evolution, The Evolution I (1), was initially designed to compete in the 92' World Rally Championship, so it was made to be fast. The design for the Mitsubishi Evolution I (1) was so successful that it evolved into 9 other versions that would be produced within the following years, but the Mitsubishi Evolution wasn't widely recognized until the Evolution VII (7), which turned heads with it's exterior look and its jump in horsepower from all previous models.
-Performance Features-
The Mitsubishi Evolution first featured a Lancer chassis and an improved version of the Galant VR-4 Engine. All versions (1-10) of the Mitsubishi Evolution engines are Turbocharged and Intercooled, so they're all pretty fast. A well known trademark of the Mitsubishi Evolution is it's all-wheel-drive, which gives it great handling in all forms of weather. With each version of the Mitsubishi Lancer came notable improvements to it's speed and handling. The most notable improvements were in the Mitsubishi Evolution IV (4), the Mitsubishi Evolution VII (7), the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII (8), the Mitsubishi Evolution IX (9), and the most recent Mitsubishi Evolution, The Evolution X (10)
--
Note: All Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions feature an inline 4-cylinder engine.
--
Mitsubishi IV (4) Improvements- The Mitsubishi Evolution's platform was totally changed with the Evolution IV (4). The Evolution IV's engine and transaxle were both rotated 180 degrees to eliminate torque steer and improve weight balance. 2 Large fog lights and extra brace bars were added. This version also included Mitsubishi's Active Yaw Control as a factory option. The Evolution IV (4) came stock with 276Hp. It featured a 5-Speed manual transmission.
Mitsubishi Evolution VII (7) Improvements- The Mitsubishi Evolution VII (7) featured an active center differential and a more effective limited-slip differential. Torque was increased to 284 Ft-Lbf over the previous version which had 275 Ft-Lbf. The Mitsubishi Evolution VII(7) now came with the option of an automatic transmission as well as a 5-Speed manual transmission. The manual transmission system was improved as well. It now included what Mitsubishi called "Fuzzy-Logic", which meant the transmission would adapt to the driver's characteristics and learn the driver's gear-shift timing. The Evolution VII (7) also had a larger Intercooler and improved Turbocharger which further increased it's speed.
Mitsubishi Evolution VIII (8) Improvements- The Mitsubishi Evolution VIII (8) was the first Mitsubishi Evolution to be sold in the United States through a dealership. The Evolution VIII (8) featured a 5-Speed and 6-Speed manual transmission, the automatic transmission was not available for this version. With the Evolution VIII (8) came improved shocks (Bilstein Shocks), Altezza taillights, Super Active Yaw Control, Improved turbocharger and a more efficient Intercooler.
Mitsubishi Evolution IX (9) Improvements- The Mitsubishi Evolution IX (9) was fitted with a new engine, the Infamous 2.0L 4G63 with MIVEC. The new engine boosted the Evolution's Speed-power at the crankshaft, as well as overall power output. The Evolution IX (9) pulls about 225whp, and 250wtq (Wheel-Torque). The Evolution IX (9) was also equipped with some luxury features; A stereo system, power windows and locks, a rear wiper, a rear wing, trunk lining and sound insulation. The Turbocharger and Intercooler were also improved, further increasing speed.
Mitsubishi Evolution X (10) Improvements- The Mitsubishi Evolution X (10) is the newest version of the Mitsubishi Evolution. With the Evolution X (10), came a totally redesigned "Safety Body". The Evolution X (10) was given an improved engine, the Turbocharged 2.0L 4B11T. It's horsepower was also further increased to 300Hp. The transmission changed as well; The new Evolution could be purchased with a 5-Speed manual transmission or a 6-Speed twin-clutch transmission.
The Mitsubishi Evolution has been turned into a very fast car by many people. The most notable is the 8.56 1/4 mile Evolution. Here's a video:
-Pricing-
The Mitsubishi Evolution is rather affordable for what it is. The Evolution (depending on the version) can range from 5,000$ to 35,000$. Not bad for a fast rally style car.
-My Rating For The Mitsubishi Evolution-
I'm going to give the Mitsubishi Evolution a 9/10, Its fast, affordable, and has a great looking exterior for just about all versions. It's widely known around the world, and is a head-turner everywhere; And for a price of 5,000$ - 35,000$, Most people can afford one!

Here's an interesting video
I found this on Youtube and felt like sharing it with everyone. This is a 3d video of a GM LS6 Engine being built. Pretty cool! If your interested in an LS6 engine, you can buy one from GM for a mildly expensive; 5500$
The Legendary, Bugatti Veyron
-The Bugatti Veyron-
In the world of today, If someone were to ask you "Who makes the fastest production car in the world?" What would you say? I'm assuming that 90% of you would say "Ferrari" or "Lamborghini". Well, the astonishing truth is, the world's fastest production car is actually made by VW, yes that's Volkswagen. The reason this is pretty astonishing is because when someone thinks of what cars Volkswagen produces, they don't think of fast cars, or performance cars, they think of small gas-saving cars, or even the infamous "VW Bug". This is absolutely the opposite of what the Bugatti Veyron is. The Veyron is not a fancy gas saver, or a a small inexpensive commuter. What the Veyron actually is, is a beast of a car that tops every other production car model on earth in terms of speed and possibly luxury. The Veyron can reach an unbelievable speed of 250mph in just 55 seconds from 0mph. The Veyron does 0-60Mph in 2.8 seconds.
-A Brief Bugatti History-
The car company Bugatti, was founded by Ettore Bugatti in 1909. The company created unique performance cars, which were mostly made by hand at the time. The Bugatti company lasted for about 51 years until it was bought out by Volkswagen somewhere in the 1950's or 1960's. Volkswagen bought Bugatti's automotive factory, and the Bugatti name.
-Performance Features-
What makes the Bugatti Veyron so fast, is its W16 (Thats 16 cylinders) 8.0 Liter, Quad-Turbocharged engine. This car's engine pushes 1,001HP. The car in a whole can reach a recorded maximum speed of 254mph at sea level, which is about 1/3 of the speed of sound. Your probably asking yourself how the Bugatti Veyron stays on the road when going 200mph+? Well, the Bugatti Veyron has a rear electro-hydrolic spoiler that can be raised for cruising around town, and lowered with a special key for driving at extreme speed. What the spoiler does when its lowered for extreme speeds, is create massive down-force, which practiacally glues the Veyron to the road. Another interesting thing about the Veyron is its transmission. The Veyron has what is called a Dual-Clutch 7-Speed transmission, but it does not have a clutch for shifting gears. What it does have, is levers behind the steering wheel that you pull on when you want to shift gears. I know this is something I would definantly want in a car that can hit 250mph. I would not want to take a hand off the steering wheel to shift at these speeds, or have to focus on disengaging a clutch to change gears.
Here's a short video that will show you how fast this car actually is, I mean, it's VERY FAST:
-The Luxury Features-
The Bugatti Veyron is not only a fast car, but it also boasts top luxury features compared to any other high-performance car. The Veyron features A/C, Automatic Windows, Heated Seats, A Unique Sound System, An extremely sleek exterior look which also contributes to its advance aerodynamics, and a beautiful 2-seat interior.
-Pricing-
If you want a Bugatti Veyron, and your an average person, with an average income, be prepared to sell your house, take an early advance on your grandparents will, drain your children's college fund, drain your 401k, max out all your credit cards. Even then you probably won't have enough to buy the Bugatti Veyron, at the highest price for any production car in the world, 1,600,000$ and if you do, well, I hope it was worth paying all of that money. =)
-My Rating For The Bugatti Veyron-
honestly, I am going to give this car a 9.5/10. It tops EVERY production car in the world, in both luxury, style, and speed. The only thing giving it the -0.5 is obviously, its price. 1,600,000$ is enough to live off for the rest of your life, enough for your children to live off of during their life, and maybe more than that. Overall, this car is amazing, and I would love to have one someday, as would everyone else. =)
-P.S.-
If there is anyone out there in the world with a wrecked Bugatti Veyron that still has a fully functional engine/transmission. I would really like to see it swapped into another, lighter car. I couldn't imagine how fast someone could make a Honda Civic go with that engine in the back.. I wonder if it would even stick to the ground with all that torque.. Hmm..

One Fast Car, The Enzo Ferrari
-The Enzo Ferrari-
The Enzo Ferrari was one of the fastest car model on any automotive production line when it was first put into production. Today, The Enzo is still very fast for what it is, it still tops about 95% of cars in speed and 99.5% in luxury.
-A Brief History-
The Fast, Enzo Ferrari was first built in 2002 and displayed/announced first at the 2002 Paris Motor Show as a luxury car with speed to match. It's design was derived from 3 "mule" prototype cars created in 2000. These cars were quite fast but did not match the speed of the Enzo, their names were; the Ferrari M1, the Ferrari M2, and the Ferrari M3. An interesting fact about the Enzo is that this car was named after the Creator of Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari himself.
-Performance Features-
The Enzo Ferrari incorporates many top of the line automotive performance technologies which give it its speed. Some of these features being; a carbon fiber body, a Sequential Shift System, a 5998CC V12 Engine, and Variable Valve Timing. Now I bet you're wondering what some of these technologies are? Well, then I think it's appropriate to explain each of them further.
Carbon Fiber Body- The Enzo's exterior is made of an extremely light weight material called carbon fiber. This is one of the cars properties that make it so fast. This lighter body improves the speed of the Enzo simply because, a lighter car means the engine doesn't have to work as hard to maintain or increase its speed quickly.
Sequential Shift System- A Sequential Shift System uses a shifting lever where a normal manual "stick" would be. When you push the lever Up, your transmission shifts up one gear, when you pull the lever down, your transmission shifts down one gear (The concept is similar to shifting in a racing arcade game, if you have ever played one) This form of gear shifting was incorporated into the Enzo Ferrari to contribute to quick gear shifting. (The Enzo Ferrari can shift from any gear to another in about 0.2 seconds, which is another property that makes it so fast)
Variable Valve Timing- Variable valve timing is Ferrari's version of Honda's VTEC. You can learn more about Variable Valve Timing here: VTEC Explanation
5998CC V12 Engine- What makes the Enzo such a fast car, is its engine. The Enzo Ferrari's engine is a V12 engine with each cylinder angled at 65 degrees, each cylinder has a capacity of 5998CCs. Each cylinder contains 4 valves, 2 intake valves, and 2 exhaust valves. The valves are operated by 4 overhead camshafts. The engine also has direct valve control and hydraulic tappets. The camshafts, valve control, and hydraulic tappets are all chain-driven. The 5998CC V12 Engine is built with forged pistons, rods, camshafts, and crankshaft. The engine redlines at 7,000rRPM.
You can see a video of how a Ferrari engine is built, below (I'm sorry that the video is in another language, however; it is still easy to understand what is going on):
-Pricing-
The Enzo Ferrari sells for a ridiculously expensive, 1,000,000. Yes that is ONE-MILLION-DOLLARS OR MORE. I'll put this price into perspective for you... 80% of everyone in the world doesn't even make this much money in their lifetime... Obviously, this car is made for only the top tier of the class pyramid, people with high government power, or people large sums of money. Is it really worth a million dollars to go fast in a car?
-My Rating For The Enzo Ferrari-
If I were to rate the Enzo Ferrari on a scale of 10 (1 being an awful overall car, 10 being a great overall car) I would give it an 8/10. I mean, this is a top of the line car and all, very fast, top-notch luxury, but it's WAY to expensive in my opinion. Honestly, If I really wanted a Ferrari that was fast and had quality luxury, I could get a used 1994 model for 25,000$-50,000$, But If I wanted an Enzo Ferrari, I would have to shell out a MASSIVE 1,000,000$+!!!
